CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Some of the city's finest were honored today for their dedication to serving the Corpus Christi community.
The police department held its annual awards ceremony.
“It was just amazing to be finally recognized for all the work that we do for the police department. For the unit I am in, and it’s quite an honor,” Officer of the Year John Ghezzi said.
At the event, the department honored the investigator, employee, supervisor, volunteer and officer of the year achievements.
A police cross was also awarded to fallen CCPD officer Alan McCollum, who was killed during a routine traffic stop along SPID last month.
