CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Employees of a local business called Action 10 News claiming they haven't been paid at their jobs.

They told us they normally get paid on Mondays, but here it is -- Friday -- and still no good news.

They further told us an investigator with the Department of Labor was at the business on Friday.

The business is True Medical Imaging on SPID.

One employee we spoke with told us she just couldn't take it anymore, so she walked into the owner's office and quit. But that's when she says the owner paid her.

Martha Villarreal told us she had no choice.

The power in her home had been turned off because she couldn't pay her bill.

"I said, 'OK, sir, do you want to pay my light bill with your personal credit card over the phone right now? My light's got turned off and my kids are at home."

So this is a tough situation for the employees.

Some of them work at True Imaging.

Others work at an office building on Corona.

Villarreal further told us that at the same time she got paid, she saw the rest of the paychecks.

"They were in a lockbox," she said.

The owner of the company declined to answer any questions.

We'll let you know if the employees actually did get paid as soon as we can confirm it.
