With the start of school quickly approaching, Texas’ tax-free weekend is here.
From today through Sunday, the state sales tax is waived on items like clothing, footwear, school supplies, or backpacks priced less than $100.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic City/County Health Director Annette Rodriguez recommends online shopping as much as possible to avoid large crowds.
The taxes are also waived for online purchases or those made by phone or mail orders during the tax-free weekend.
