In San Antonio, more than 100 shots were fired at a flea market parking lot this morning, leaving five people wounded.
The shooting happened around 11 a.m. at the Mission Open Air Market.
Officials say the shooting was spread out in the parking lot making it difficult to secure the area.
They say at least one of the suspects was shot after a security officer opened fire. That person is in critical condition.
It's unclear as to how many people fired the shots or how the shooting started.
"PD did a good job on securing the scene,” San Antonio Battalion Chief Russell Johnson said. “The people weren't right together, they were scattered all throughout the parking lot, in between cars, so we had a massive search to try to check all the area underneath all the cars to make sure that everybody was found.”
Authorities say the shooting caused many people in the parking lot to panic and drive through the fence to escape.
