The Port Arthur police found 7-month-old Jason Roberts and returned him to his mother.
Police were able to locate the suspect's vehicle unoccupied and later found and arrested 26-year-old Nathan Lynn Roberts Jr. just before 7 p.m..
The Amber Alert has been discontinued.
ORIGINAL STORY: According to a post from Port Arthur police, at approximately 3:27 p.m. officers responded to the 4300 block of Lewis Drive in reference to a shooting. Officers located a female who had been shot. She advised her child’s father, identified as 26-year-old Nathan Roberts Jr., shot her and fled with the child.
