Work is complete on two Corpus Christi homes needing new roofs.
We first told you about the situation back in may. Pastor John Smith and Loetta Gaines hired a man named Skylar Buras to do work on their homes.
However, they along with about 8 other residents in the area claimed Buras ran off with their insurance checks from hurricane Harvey.
That’s where Crest Exteriors comes in. The company saw our story and came down from Dallas. They offered to put a brand new roof on Pastor Smith and Gaines’ homes for free.
Today, Logan Graff, the Vice President of sales and operations at Crest Exteriors gave us call to let us know the work is complete.
As for the original contractor, Skylar Buras, he was arrested in San Antonio back in may on four felony counts of theft of the elderly.
