CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily be closing a lane on U.S. 77 just south of Driscoll. This is to allow ExxonMobil to relocate two pipelines.

On Thursday, September 5 and Friday, September 6, the outside right lane of U.S. 77 northbound will be closed for about a half mile from north of the intersection of U.S. 77 and County Road 14. This location is roughly three miles south of Driscoll.

The single-lane closure is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day to allow ExxonMobil to relocate two pipelines. The inside left northbound travel lane will remain open during the single-lane closure.

All work is weather permitting.

Motorists should expect delays, allow extra travel time and are urged to slow down in the work zone and follow all traffic control instructions.
