ROBSTOWN, Texas — Our Action 10 news team told you how 26-year-old Santiago Hernandez Jr. was stabbed in the chest and he later died from his injuries.

Robstown police have arrested 22-year-old Alexandra Salazar and 25-year-old Jonathon Martinez.

Martinez's bond is set at $500,000 while Salazar's bond is set at $300,000.

This murder has brought fear to the neighbors at the 700-block of Illinois Street, where Robstown police found Hernandez.

Neighbors say the area is very quiet and a place where everyone knows each other.

Yet, they say they can't believe something like this happened.

Ruben Rodriguez said he has lived on Illinois Street all his life and to find out a man was stabbed in his neighborhood surprised him.

“Well, it's kind scary because it had never happen here before. This is the very first time,” says Rodriguez.

Rodriguez said when he stepped out of his home, he couldn’t believe there were so many law enforcement vehicles and sirens in his neighborhood.

“I hope nothing like that ever happen again,” said Rodriguez.

Robstown police believe Hernandez was homeless, and that the attack was targeted.

Robstown police say Texas Rangers and US Marshals helped lead these arrests.
