SINTON, Texas —

Two men have been arrested in San Patricio County for a recent vandalism case involving cotton bales.

Authorities say 20-year-old Charles Rhodes and 17-year-old Justin Pullin, both of Taft, were arrested today and charged with felony criminal mischief felony.

Sheriff Oscar Rivera said both suspects were arrested in Taft by San Patricio County investigators and are in custody at the county jail.

Bond is expected to be set on Friday.

Earlier this month a number of cotton bales were found slashed open. The vandalism resulted in thousands of dollars lost for farmers.

Investigators say they used surveillance video to track down the suspects. No reward money was used.
