If you're driving to one of those New Year's celebrations, Apollo Towing Service is making sure you get home safely.
Its "No excuse" holiday towing campaign kicked off last week and will run through the new year.
The company is offering free towing services to anyone who wants to avoid getting behind the wheel after they've had too much to drink.
The owners started the program a decade ago, partnering with the Nueces County District Attorney's office.
"We will get you home at the end of your festivities and when you wake up in the morning your car will be in your driveway damage-free and you'll be home safe and sound, without any kind of arrest or injury," said Apollo Towing vice-president Michael Staff. "And really, that's what the program is for . . . to make sure that we are reducing those types of events in our community."
The service is being offered to residents of Corpus Christi, Robstown, and Portland.
Only the driver of the car will be able to receive a free ride to their destination, and you'll need proof of residency and the keys to your car.
