Teen girl arrested for making threat to Tuloso-Midway schools

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A teen girl has been arrested for making a terroristic threat to Tuloso-Midway schools. Corpus Christi Police began an investigation into a threat made on social media on August 13. The threat lead to CCPD increasing security to Tuloso-Midway schools the days that followed.

Officers determined that the threat was not credible and they were able to determine the identity of the suspect. Corpus Christi Police apprehended a 15-year-old female student. CCPD says she is being booked into the Nueces County Juvenile Justice Center. She is facing a 3rd Degree Felony for terroristic threats.

School officials have also taken appropriate action in response to the incident in accordance with school policies. CCPD stresses that threats of harm to students and the public will not be taken lightly.
