CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A teenager is in jail accused of gunning down a man on his front yard. Police say it happened just before dawn on Friday.
Corpus Christi Police say the teen shot and killed 25-year-old Leandro Flores during an argument. It happened at a home on the 4000 block of Redwood near Weber Road and Gollihar Road.
Police told us a call was made to 911 from within the home. When officers arrived, they were told that the teen suspect and a couple of other people showed up a the victim's house. The victim came out to the vehicle and got into an argument with the accused gunman. The argument escalated resulting in the victim being shot in the head. CCPD says the teen suspect then fled the scene but later returned while officers were investigating. He was taken into custody.
