TAMUCC holds State of the University

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi held it annual State of the University on Wednesday.

President, Dr. Kelly Quintanilla, delivered the keynote address.

Texas A&M University-Corpus Chrisit was recently named the number one college by the sea and just got a national ranking in engineering.

The school was the states 5th lowest ranked when it came to student debt and came in at the number 10 spot for systems dealing with unmanned aircraft.

"And when you start to hear all of this data together, it really shows that there's excellence in your backyard here in the Coastal Bend and our reach is national and international so that's the most exciting part for me," said Quintanilla.

Campus tours were offered afterwards, one of the highlights was a tour of Tidal Hall, the newest building on campus.
