CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS —

24-year-old Jared Naranjo has been charged with the murder of 30-year-old Frederick Rice and put it jail with $1 million bond.

The Nueces Co. Medical Examiner's office said Rice died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday in the 4500 block of Mokry Drive. Police said Rice was found laying on the ground outside a home.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.
