CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The city is also planning a memorial for the late Public Works Department Director Richard Martinez, who died suddenly in August.
At its meeting on Tuesday, the council approved a resolution to rename one of the public works department buildings in Martinez's honor.
The building on Hygeia Street will be called the Richard E. Martinez Public Works Facility.
A dedication ceremony is now being planned.
