Several families woke up a huge surprise this morning.
They arose to find officers and volunteers on their porch, bearing food baskets and Christmas gifts.
it's part of the 43rd annual Police Officer Christmas Angel Food Basket delivery.
Officers chose the families, many are families who have been helped by local officers at one time or another.
One woman we spoke with described the officers' gesture as amazing.
"I'm very happy and I'm grateful," said Veronica Delgado, who received a basket. "Words can't explain. People do care about others and not just themselves."
The officers and volunteers delivered baskets to 135 families in our area.
