Police search for armed robbers after they busted into a local home

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — At least one man is on the run following a home invasion near the Kostoryz and Gollihar area.

Corpus Christi Police say three men carrying what they described as "long guns" burst into a home on Kirkwood Drive just before 5 p.m. today.

According to officers, at least two people inside the home were hit in the face. The robbers demanded to know where a safe was.

The men ran away empty handed when they heard police sirens.

Officers arrested one of the robbers and a woman who as in a car outside the home. The other two men are still being sought. Police believe they are armed.

"Just be diligent. Be observant, and if you see anybody suspicious or anything you think is suspicious, certainly call it into the police department so we can follow up," said Captain Dave Cook.

Despite getting hit in the face, the victims weren't seriously injured.
