Pick-up truck runs stop sign, slams into vehicle carrying children

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — A family was sent to the hospital after a vehicle they were riding in was slammed into by a pickup truck.

The crash happened at Farm Market 136 and Texas 188 in San Patricio County just before 6:45 pm on Tuesday.

According to San Patricio County Sheriff's Office, a pick-up truck t-boned a vehicle carrying a mother and her two children. One child was left in critical condition and HALO-Flighted to Driscoll Children's Hospital.

The mother and her other child were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Investigators say the people inside of the truck were fine.

The is no word yet what charges the driver of the truck will face as the investigation continues.

The is no word yet on the medical condition of the child who was taken by HALO-Flight.
