CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A newly opened business was burglarized twice over the weekend. Margie Castillo owns Phat Keto bakery located at 122 N. Staples Street a few blocks from Corpus Christi City Hall.
Castillo says that someone broke into her business on Friday around 3 a.m. Several electronics were stolen after someone managed to pry open a window.
Unfortunately it happened again two days later. Around 4 a.m. on Sunday, her business was once again broken into.
Castillo says she chose here location in hopes of helping to revitalize the area. But now she says she feels scared.
"I just feel violated...just have to rise above it and keep going," said Castillo.
The new business owner said she will have to put up the bars on the window again and cameras to help with security.
