One man is dead following a crash involving three vehicles.
The incident happened on I-37 close to Labonte Park around 8 pm last night.
According to DPS Sgt. Nathan Brandley, the three vehicles were traveling in the same lane. A Chevy Cruze carrying a driver was first, followed by a Suzuki motorcycle carrying a driver and passenger, followed by a Lexus carrying a driver and passenger behind them.
Sgt. Brandley says the first car slowed down and the motorcyclist was unable to brake in time, resulting in the motorcycle striking the Chevy Cruze in front of them. Both driver and passenger were ejected from the motorcyle. The driver landed on the roadway and was struck by the Lexus traveling behind them. The passenger on the motorcycle landed on the trunk of the Chevy Cruze and held on until the car slowed to safety.
35-year-old Ramiro De Los Santos was pronounced dead on scene by Justice of the Peace Yolanda Guerrero at 8:27 pm, Oct. 18, 2019.
The rest of the people involved in the incident received minor to no injuries.
