UPDATE (4:05 p.m. Tuesday): - The pilot in the training aircraft was an instructor and was transported to Christus Spohn Hospital - Kleberg for further evaluation.
A T-45 Goshawk crashed Tuesday in an empty field just north of the Naval Air Station Kingsville at about noon.
According to a social media post by NAS Kingsville, the pilot ejected safely.
There are no reports of injuries reported at this time.
Emergency personnel is at the site of the crash.
