ROBSTOWN, Tx — UPDATE: 5/6/2026, 3:34 PM
Two additional suspects were arrested on drug and weapons charges following a Wednesday morning search warrant execution that also resulted in the arrest of a Robstown man on child pornography charges.
According to Robstown Police Chief Mike Tamez, Joel Salinas, 25, and Isabella Garcia, 28, were arrested at the same residence in the 500 block of East Ligustrum Avenue.
Salinas and Garcia each face multiple felony charges, including manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance (penalty group 1, less than 200 grams, a first-degree felony), manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance (penalty group 2, four to 400 grams, a first-degree felony), possession of marijuana (five pounds to four ounces, a state jail felony), and possession of a controlled substance (penalty group 2, four to 400 grams, a second-degree felony).
Officers seized 70 grams of cocaine, 161 grams of THC, 8 ounces of marijuana, 26 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and five handguns. One of the handguns was reported stolen in 1987, Tamez said.
Tamez said the Corpus Christi Police Department SWAT team was deployed because investigators already knew weapons were present at the residence, meeting the department's threat threshold for SWAT involvement.
As for the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) investigation, Tamez said authorities had already established probable cause — including evidence of child sexual exploitation material linked to Flores — before the warrant was issued. Flores' phone and additional electronic devices were seized and will be searched under separate warrants.
Robstown PD became a member of the ICAC Task Force last month, Tamez said — the first time in the department's history. He urged residents with tips about child pornography or exploitation to contact Robstown PD's ICAC detectives directly.
"We take the welfare and safety of our children very, very seriously," Tamez said.
