CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man found floating in local waters over the weekend has died. The name of the 51-year-old victim has not been released.
He was discovered near Beach Marker 183 just before 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. The man was reported to be in critical condition when taken to Bay Area Hospital. He passed away yesterday evening.
Police say a woman jumped into the water to pull the man back to the shore.
Once he was on land, CPR was started, as medics arrived on the scene.
The woman also was taken to the hospital only as a precaution.
