CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man suspected of murdering a woman who had been reported missing recently was arrested Tuesday.
46-year-old Jose Guadalupe De Luna Jr. was booked in the Nueces County Jail on Tuesday for the murder of Vanessa Pecina.
His bond is set at $400,000.
Pecina's body was found last Wednesday in a ditch on County Road 20 and County Road 63 near Petronila.
The Corpus Christi Police Department issued a missing persons alert for Pecina on August 30. She was last seen getting into a red vehicle on Queen Drive on August 27.
