The Shetland Astros, a local little league team, have started a "gofundme" page to fund their trip to the Little League World Series.
The Little League World Series is in Louisiana towards the end of August, and they are trying to raise a grand total of $2,500 dollars.
After three years playing together, the team was able to clinch the win at the 2019 All-Star tournament and were invited to the World Series.
"This year they finally made it and are so excited to have the opportunity to play in Louisiana and represent Corpus Christi, IWS League, and the state of Texas," their go-fund-me page says.
They have asked the community to help them out with any monetary donations, no matter how small.
"We are hoping their fans, family, supporters and the community can help get these kids to Louisiana so they can show off all their hard work and dedication." their go-fund-me says , "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for some and would love if you can help in anyway make their baseball dreams come true. No donation is too small."
