CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An Annaville apartment complex was heavily damaged by a fire this morning.
It was reported around 3 a.m. at the Churchill Square Apartments on Western Drive.
When fire crews arrived, they needed to call in more manpower.
Residents got out safely, but several units were destroyed.
"There are gonna be some families that are displaced by this fire, so we will try to get them taken care of as best as we can," said a local firefighter.
A total of eight families were left without a home because of the fire.
The Red Cross has stepped in to help them out.
