If you're hitting the road this Labor Day weekend, we've got some good news for you.

Labor Day gas prices are set to be the lowest since 2004.

The national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $2.23.

That's well below last year's national average of $2.57 per gallon.

In the past decade, the lowest price for gas on Labor Day was in 2016 when an average gallon was selling for $2.20.

By the way, you'll find even cheaper prices here in Corpus Christi, where the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $1.93.
