CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — That's Julian Galloway ringing the bell to celebrate beating cancer.

We introduced you to him back in September. He was diagnosed with medulloblastoma high risk group 3 brain cancer last year.

Now, Julian is celebrating with his family and friends at St. Pius X Catholic School in Corpus Christi.

Here's a Facebook post from his family as he rings a bell to celebrate beating cancer.

Since finishing up his treatment and being able to come back to class, Julian says he is really excited to be back at school.

"We have kinetic sand there. It’s some sand that you play with,” he said.

His Kindergarten teacher, Hayley Bennett, says since being back in the classroom Julian is always smiling. She says she is blessed to be part of this special moment.

"We all had hope and he was strong and he did it and he is very blessed to be here," Bennett said. "We are blessed to have him."

Julian's friends, Braham and Elizabeth, say they missed having him in class.

"He's my best friend and he's the most awesomest person in our class,” Braham said.

"He learns a lot of stuff and he's a good student and we love him,” Elizabeth added.

St. Pius principal Beth Hinojosa says the community at the school has helped the Galloways from the beginning with delivering meals to the family's home and purchasing Julian strong hats.

The proceeds go to help out the family.

During a ceremony earlier this week, Hinojosa says Julian's smile, journey and ceremony have touched them all.

"I've gotten to know Julian in a real personal way and he's real special, special to all of us,” Hinojosa said.
