The City of Corpus Christi announced a major step forward in the Park Road 22 Bridge Project on the Island.
Construction on the bridge will begin next month.
The nearly $14 million project will provide water exchange and a navigation connection between the canal systems on the Island and Packery Channel.
Plans also include a pedestrian walkway under the bridge. It will take 21 months to complete it all says city officials.
