CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Despite the rain on Saturday, H-E-B’s Feast of Sharing went on to help provide several families with a meal.
The event was held a little different this year due to the pandemic. Just like many others in the area, the event was turned into a drive-thru instead of a traditional sit-down meal. H-E-B and the Coastal Bend Food Bank partnered together to give around 6,000 meals to Coastal Bend families.
“It gives them a chance to have a holiday meal when sometimes they can't. This pandemic has touched many aspects of our economy,” said James Burnett with the Coastal Bend Food Bank.
Organizers are hopeful next year’s event will be back to normal inside of the American Bank Center.
