FALFURRIAS, Texas — An online fundraiser has been created to cover the funeral expenses for the family of Flavio Garza III.

"Alderman Garza was a true public servant and cared a great deal about his family, friends and community," The City of Falfurrias posted. "May he rest in peace and that those grieving find comfort."

Flavio's brother Anthony Garza started the fundraiser on GoFundMe.

The two-vehicle accident happened right outside Falfurrias in Brooks County, on US 281 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Jan. 25.
