ROBSTOWN, Texas — Illegal immigrants were busted trying to travel in a grain hopper. Border Patrol agents were conducting a freight train check in Robstown Monday when they saw several people jump out of a grain hopper. County Sheriff's, Constables from Precinct 5 and officers with the Robstown Police Department helped CBP agents search the area and eventually detain six illegal aliens. Shortly after the Corpus Christi Police Department received a 911 call from a person claiming to be stuck with someone else inside the stopped grain hopper.

Corpus Christi Fire Department and Border Patrol agents returned to the freight train and located two men, one of which suffered an ankle injury while entering the grain hopper. Agents took custody of all eight subjects and transported them to the Corpus Christi Border Patrol Station for further processing.
