CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A free city-wide health fair is happening Saturday, September 28.
It's a joint effort between the NAACP and LULAC.
Local medical professionals will be providing free health services including vaccinations, dental screenings and diabetes screenings.
The goal of this 11th annual event is to positively impact the community and raise awareness for health checks. The fair hopes to help those who are medically underserved.
"The ultimate goal for this event is to educate the community, and let individuals know that there are different organizations here that will help you," said Dr. Nick Adame, LULAC President, "If you have questions about diet,if you have questions about exercising, if you have questions about your own health, if you have questions about diabetes, this is one of the places to be."
As mentioned, the health fair is free. It starts at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. at the Del Mar College West Campus.
