Former Corpus Christi realtor association CEO pleads not guilty to theft

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The former CEO of the Corpus Christi Association of Realtors was in court this morning to answer to theft charges.

Richard Throop is being accused of stealing as much as $200,000 from the association's accounts. That was discovered following a forensic audit.

Today, Throop pleaded not guilty to theft of property charges.

His trial is scheduled to begin on Oct. 29.
