Firefighters were called out to a small house fire near Annaville tonight.
They responded to a blaze at a home on the 11000 block of Mesa Circle around 8 p.m. tonight for heavy smoke inside the home.
When firefighters arrived, they found flames inside the kitchen.
The owner was not home when the fire broke out.
Arson investigators are now trying to determine what caused the fire.
