3:30 PM UPDATE: The Nueces County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim of Monday night's shooting as 45-year-old Abraham Salazar.

KRIS 6 has obtained the arrest affidavit filed in this case, and it states the victim was Adam's older brother.

The incident began Monday just after 7 p.m. when someone called 911 to report a family disturbance at the home on the 4900 block of Cain Drive. The caller said Adam was threatening to kill his brother and told his father "He wants to take as many victims as possible."

Abraham said the family had been renting the home to his younger brother, Adam for over a year and a half. Officers responded to the call and eventually cleared the scene.

A second call came in shortly before 8 p.m. Officers asked the caller to meet them away from the home due to the nature of the call.

Shortly after, Abraham Salazar and his father met officers at the Taco Bell parking lot nearby. Once there, Abraham told officers he went to the home on Cain Drive earlier in the evening. After getting into an argument with Adam, Abraham noticed his younger brother pulled a firearm out of his waistband, but wasn't sure if the weapon was brandished at him or not. Abraham said he feared for his life, and his family was scared.

Officers said, Abraham was uncooperative and asked officers to remove his younger brother from the home. He also asked that they call SWAT. Officers told him they would not go to the home, because Adam was alone and not a danger to anyone inside.

Officers say Abraham told them if they would not respond, he would take care of the situation himself. He went on to say if officers hear gunshots in the area, it would be from him. He and his father then drove away and headed eastbound on Cain Drive.

Around 9:30 p.m., officers were called to the home in response to a shooting. When they arrived, they found Abraham in his 2014 Chevrolet Camaro dead with a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen.
