A local officer is being recognized for his actions saving a Falfurrias family.
Officer James Hill received the Medal of Valor pin at the most recent Falfurrias Board of Alderman meeting.
"Officer Hill saved a #Falfurrias family from a potentially dangerous fire at their residence in the early morning hours last month," the City of Falfurrias posted.
The City of Falfurrias expressed their appreciation in an online post.
"Our officers place their lives on the line day in and out," the City of Falfurrias posted. "We are so proud of them."
