One person is dead following an early morning accident at I-37 and Highway 358 (S.P.I.D.).
Police say it was just after 2 a.m., Feb. 22. They found a vehicle flipped over and fully engulfed in flames.
Witnesses told police they saw the driver of that vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. Exiting the flyover. And hitting the guardrail, causing the vehicle to flip over and catch fire.
Police say that the driver, traveling northbound, was not able to get out of the vehicle and died on the scene.
At this time, police have not been able to identify the driver.
