There some new additions to Oleander Point that will help you enjoy the panoramic view of the bayfront in comfort.
Three benches were installed today and they were put together by Ray High School student Jacob Longoria, who actually built the benches for his Eagle Scout project.
Longoria lives near the park and says it's a near perfect location.
But, he felt it was just missing a little something.
“It was just, we came out here, and man this is the perfect spot to build some benches,” Longoria said. “There is nothing out there. There is a bench back there but you can't really see this beautiful scenery behind me.”
Longoria got a bit of help on the project from the Parks and Recreation Department. And it's thrilled with his work.
Tonight might be a great evening to try out those benches.
