A power outage was reported in the Flour Bluff area after a dump truck got caught up in power lines, bring down utility poles in the area.
A City of Corpus Christi truck was traveling on Laguna Shores Road with its bed still raised when the bed snagged power lines. The force of collision, which happened at about 1:55 p.m., also collapsed nearby poles to which the lines were attached.
The driver was told to remain in the truck until power in the area could be turned off and he could be safely removed. He was not injured.
AEP-Texas crews are expected to be working in the area to restore power until around 6:30 p.m.
