CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One Corpus Christi Bayfront park is getting a facelift.

Crews are making repairs to Doddridge Park out on Ocean Drive near Doddridge Street.

In May 2014, the sidewalks at the park began sinking because of erosion and a foundation problem.

In October 2015, a sinkhole opened up under a stairway and a retaining wall began to collapse.

This month, the city began making repairs to the park. They've removed the stairs because they were not safe and crews replaced the sidewalk.

They now plan to plant new grass at the park.
