Coronavirus vaccine clinic held at the American Bank Center

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Another COVID-19 vaccine clinic was held at the American Bank Center on Friday.

2,400 vaccines were given to people 65-years old and older.

No one had to wait in line, because the Driscoll Health System operates by appointment only.

Mary Dale Peterson,MD, the Chief Operating Officer for Driscoll Health Systems, said "Well I Can just tell you that after the year that we have been through and health care. This is the best in health care, being able to vaccinate our community."

There should be another vaccine clinic next week.

Officials say it will be for people 50-years old and older with chronic medical conditions.

The Driscoll Health System has help the city county health department distribute nearly 15,000 COVID-19 vaccines.
