CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man is facing murder charges following a shooting at a convenience store Tuesday night.
23-year-old Daniel Adame is accused of fatally shooting 23-year-old John Eric Martinez at the Checkout Convenience Store located at the corner of SPID and Weber.

Police say the two men were involved in an altercation right outside of the store around 10 p.m. when Adame then allegedly shot Martinez multiple times. According to CCPD, Martinez made his way towards a police officer who happened to be close by working traffic control. Adame drove away as the officer administered first aid to Martinez.
Police say a short time later, Adame stopped at a church on Kostoryz and SPID and called 911. Adame has been charged with murder. His bond has been set at $1 million.
