CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Construction on Airline Road from South Padre Island Drive to McArdle Road is scheduled to begin in January as part of the Bond 2018 Program.
In a release, the city lists the following projects they will be working on to improve the roadway:
- Reconstruction of the four-lane roadway with an addition of a center turn lane,
- New curb and gutter
- Sidewalks
- ADA ramps
- Signage
- Pavement markings
- RTA improvements
- Pedestrian facility improvements.
- Utility improvements including new underground storm water and water, with minor adjustments to wastewater
The combined projects are anticipated to take about seven months to complete.
