The Coastal Bend Blood Center is asking for people with Type O blood type to make a blood donation.
"There is an urgent need for Type O blood right now," the blood center says.
Walk-ins are always welcome at any of their locations. Upcoming blood drive locations can be found on their website at www.coastalbendbloodcenter.org.
"Without the aid of our caring donors we cannot continue our life-saving mission here in our community," their post says. "Together we can save lives and change the world one blood donation at a time."
