Christus Spohn South Hospital has kicked off a new program that will take some of the anxiety out of emergency room visits.

The pandemic has caused a decline in emergency room visits because patients are worried they might catch the virus.

The new Christus Emergency Room Options program will help ease those worries.

All you have to do is call the hospital and wait at home or in your car until a room is available.

“Even though there’s a pandemic going on, an emergency doesn't wait for a pandemic,” said Monica Hunt of Christus Spohn South. “We want them to come to the hospital if they can.”

This program is only available at Christus Spohn South Hospital.
