UPDATE 1:01 p.m.: The fire department has issued a message saying all emergency units have cleared the area of the gas leak.
Corpus Christi Fire Department is on scene of a gas leak in the area of 2900 North Padre Island Drive.
There may be a noticeable odor in the area of Lantana and North Padre Island Drive.
The fire department reports there is no hazard to the public and no community action is required.
