A person has died after his vehicle collided with a power pole.
Police said they found the vehicle engulfed in flames a little after 1 p.m. Saturday, on Leopard St. between Port Ave. and Kennedy Ave..
Lieutenant Gabe Garcia with Corpus Christi Police Department confirmed the fatality.
Fire crews extinguished the fire and AEP Texas was called due to downed power lines.
Police don't believe any other vehicles were involved.
The cause of the accident has not been determined and is currently under investigation.
