Bob Hall Pier at Padre Balli Park on North Padre Island will be closed to the public from 8 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Feb. 28 for routine structural inspections.
Teams of divers will be inspecting the pier below the waterline as other teams will inspect sections of the pier above the waterline.
These inspections are necessary every five to seven years. The month of Feburary is considered a prime time for them has the lightest usage this time of year.
The public is advised that the County’s Horace Caldwell Pier in Port Aransas is not a part of this inspection process and remains open to the public.
