CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Nueces River Authority announced the results for tests it did on blue-green algae recently found in local waters.

The agency found blue-green algae in waters in the Live Oak County area. The agency was trying to determine if it was a similar toxic blue-green algae that killed a dog swimming in the Guadalupe River near Austin. Two other states also reported pets died after making contact with the algae.
